Eiichiro Makino

Eiichiro Makino joined Nissho Iwai Corporation (“NIC”, now Sojitz Corporation) in Japan in April 1982, immediately after receiving his Bachelor’s degree in applied chemistry, from the Faculty of Engineering, Hokkaido University, Japan

Since joining NIC, he has been assigned to implement the Brown Coal Liquefaction pilot plant project in Victoria, Australia. Since then, he has been deeply involved in and assigned to the coal utilization project and the development of alternative energy sources globally. Based on these experiences, he has been charged with the low rank coal utilization project such as Brown Coal Liquefaction project, Upgraded Brown Coal (UBC) pilot plant project, big scale lignite mine mouth IPP project, a new Lignite Gasification development project and CBM development project mainly in Indonesia.
