Daniel C. Cicero

Dr. Ulrich Berger, born in 1953, is Vice President Technology of Lurgi, with responsibility for R&D, technology management and process engineering.

He started his professional career in 1984 working in the R&D function of Enka AG. From 1985 to 1997, he held various management positions in the company’s production and quality management functions in Germany and Brazil, last as plant manager in Mexico.

He then moved to the plant engineering business with the then Lurgi Zimmer where he served as head of the technology division from 1999. He took over as head of the technology division of Lurgi GmbH on April 1, 2007.

Dr. Berger studied Chemistry and graduated with a PhD in the University of Tübingen.
